Palm Sunday, also known as Palm Sunday, is the last Sunday of Lent (the Sunday before Easter), traditionally the second Sunday of Passion Time, but especially important as the first day of Holy Week. Palm Sunday is the joyful entry of Jesus into Jerusalem is celebrated.

History

Roman Catholic tradition

In the Roman Catholic Church traditionally celebrated Palm Sunday with the blessing of palm branches in northern regions because of the climate almost always replaced by boxwood sprigs. After the blessing followed by a procession with traditional songs that remind the people that “Hosanna” and cried with Jesus in Jerusalem drew cheers.

Orthodox tradition

Protestant tradition
